DESCRIPTIONS
In grade 11 students will continue exploring the many possibilities of art as a means of communication as they begin to intentionally create meaning and mood in their artworks. Students may choose to enrol in Studio Art 2D, Studio Art 3D or Studio Art and may take one, two or all three of the grade 11 art courses.
It is recommended that artists have completed at at least one of Visual Art Studio 9 or Visual Art Studio 10 courses or passion enthusiasm for the visual arts and have approached Ms. Bielus to discuss their interest in the course as grade 11 course will build upon technical skills develop in grade 9 and 10 classes.

STUDIO ARTS 2D
DRAWING & PAINTING
This course is for students interested in creating two dimensional works such as painting, drawing, mixed media and printmaking.
Students will have an opportunity to continue exercising their creativity and expand on their technical skills while exploring new processes and avenues of expression in 2D areas such as ink, chalk, conte, watercolour, acrylic painting, mixed media.

SCULPTURE & CERAMICS
In grade 11 students will continue exploring the many possibilities of art as a means of communication as they begin to intentionally create meaning and mood in their artworks. Students may choose to enrol in Studio Art 2D, Studio Art 3D or Studio Art and may take one, two or all three of the grade 11 art courses.

STUDIO ART
DRAWING, PAINTING
& SCULTPURE
Students in this course will have an opportunity to explore BOTH 2D and 3D works through a series of projects.
